4 Tips for Health Winter Feet

December 22, 2017 Posted by Lindsay Lopez

1.Make sure your shoes fit correctly. Whether you are shopping or taking on some trails, it is important that you don’t compromise comfort and safety. Keep you feet safe from blisters, calluses, and ankle injuries by wearing shoes that fit!
2.Get SAFE pedicures! When you go on your winter getaway, make sure you are getting a pedicure from a licensed salon that follows proper sanitation procedures. A bacterial infection will ruin your getaway!
3.Keep an eye out for snow and ice. Winter is beautiful, but can also be hazardous. When you are traveling outdoors, use caution. Always watch for ice or snow patches along your trail.
4.Make sure you are listening to your feet. Regularly inspect your feet for ingrown toenails, bruising, swelling, and blisters or calluses. If you notice any issues, call Blue Ridge Foot & Ankle!
